Testing...1-2-3

I was actually thankful for sleepover Saturday this weekend. I made some make-shift backdrops and lighting with household items (sheets, clothespins, floor lamp, white poster board, tape etc.) in an attempt to take some black and white photos of my sister's pregnant belly. I could tell she was getting pretty tire. After all, she'd been on her feet most the day while I took a billion other photos of her. She's such a good sport!
Anyhow, after setting everything up, and then seeing her lay there exhausted on the couch, I didn't have the heart to ask her to get back up. But I only had to ask the little girls once!
They gave me their best free-form poses for my practice with shading, and boy did they have some great ones!
Remember, for a full view, just click on the photo.

This is my cousin Jamie's cute girl, my girls' second cousin. I just adore those freckles!

Her 007 impersonation.

She's such a spunky girl!

And she has awesome teeth! (She doesn't think so but I just love them!)

Oh my. Why does my eight year old know this look already? I'm in trouble!

There we go, much better sis!

Little Miss had a harder time with the posing.

This is her idea of a good pose.

Now this girl knows how it's done!

Can you tell she's done this before?

Her Aunt is a photographer, and a GREAT one at that!

Not only do I think she's had the practice-

But I think she might just be a natural at it anyhow!

Sage wasn't feeling up to it tonight. But after taking a group shot without her, it just didn't feel right.

So we talked her into at least one.

Although they aren't quite how I want them, they are the closest yet! I'm finally learning how to bounce light!
Now I just need a light kit fund!

It's looking lovely! Your cousin's daughter looks like a mini version of her! And your girls are lovely as always. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE black and white. You definitely are learning. I'll just keep sticking with my point and shoot - my brain in full.
