Worlds Longest Drawing

For family movie night, a couple weeks ago, we watched Ramona & Beezus with the girls. I was a huge Beverly Cleary fan in elementary school, and I was looking forward to (hopefully) turning the girls onto her books.
Unfortunately, who needs Ramona when you have the likes of Amber Brown, Junie B. Jones or even that Whimpy Kid with the diary?
But I'm not giving up. I plan to surprise them with a kindle soon. I will have the Ramona series pre-downloaded on it. Then I will do what any evil scheming mother who wants their way would do, and I will tell them that the machine doesn't allow you to download another book until the current one's are read.
Yup, I'm THAT evil! Bwhahaha!

They did get a cool idea from the movie though. They were just dying to make the "worlds longest drawing", just like Ramona and her dad did in the movie. Fortunately for them, there just so happened to be an extra day in our weekend, and they just so happen to have the worlds coolest artsy fartsy dad, whom was also dying to create the "world longest drawing".

Yeah, that's him *sigh* just makes me all googley-eyed watching him get down there on that hard floor to draw with them for, like, three hours straight!


Even Ms. Deni (who's been terribly ill with flu) got in on the action for a bit. But she only lasted about ten minutes, poor thing. They're going to wait to color it in until she feels better.
Now, the coolest thing about "the worlds longest drawing", besides all the super cool art skillz in action, is that it occupied everyone while I worked on baby shower stuff.
Thank you super artsy fartsy dad, those hours were much needed!
