I lucked out and had a lot of the stuff already! I kept telling Dennis all the $1 a yard fabric at Wal~Mart would pay off someday!
I spent under $100 on the whole shebang because my wonderful friend Amy and her momma Marlene rounded up sixteen buckets I could use as seats!
I already had tons of tulle and material, paper, glue, you know, all the essentials. The only thing I was lacking was time!
So making everything myself saved money but it sure was a lot of hand sewing!
We even dug out a couple Christmas trees for more foliage. You can't see in the pics, but I used my crikut to cut out a bunch of butterflies that Deni colored and sprayed with glitter and hung from the ceiling.
The worst part were the fairy wings. Dude, splurge for the nylons. I looked up many a tutorial that called for women's nylon tights, and I was like "hey, I haven't any money for nylons, but I've a crap ton of tulle.." Yeah, tulle was a pain in the arse!
The easiest thing by far were the gnome hats. took like two minutes a piece. The toadstool cushions weren't hard, just time consuming because they wouldn't fit in the sewing machine so they had to be sewn by hand.
All the work was worth watching her big brown eyes light up! "This is how I knew it should look momma!" Yeah, that's what its all about right there!
This is what I started out with. My dining room was pretty messy to begin with! That may of coarse be due to the fact that we use it mainly for craft and homework space!

Here's Deni helping with the butterflies.
Here's the final product! I introduce...."Enchanted Forest!"
We found large pixie sticks in the Halloween aisle at Target, and decided "pixie" sticks would be appropriate as thank you's. So we made wands out of them!
Here's the Birthday Fairy Princess herself!
Here's a picture of the lunch feast.
The cuppies and my first ever fondant cake. May I advise allowing more than thirty five minutes before the party to decorate with fondant! I was really pushing it! It takes a little muscle to roll that stuff out!
The cake filling was cream cheese frosting and the homemade peach preserves I made last week.

Rolling with the gnomies...

I officially vow only one "big" birthday party a year! It's Sages turn next year.
Truth is, I love doing it! It's just rather stressful with all the other things going on at the same time!
I'm glad we had a good turnout and everyone seemed to have fun!

Oh my Hell Reyanna, could you possibly be more amazing. I wish you lived closer to me to bring some creativity out of me. It is SO beautiful. I have to show it to Bianka. Problem there is she'll want one just like that and I don't sow a lick! You are incredibly talented and I so envy you!!! I love you and Happy Birthday Deni!!!!!

I thought the last party with all the capes was cool. I cannot imagine what the next big party will be like!
Holy cow Reyanna, is there anything you can't create? That is so cool, your girls are so lucky! It reminds me so much of your mom, and the cool parties you had growing up. Your mom made amazing cakes!
