I’m ready to share my favorite memory from this summer.

Partly because I finally finished cropping and resizing and photo shopping the pictures. Mainly because I can now talk about it and look at the pictures without crying.

I got to see my parents!
It had been two whole years since I saw them last. They were finally able to come down from Kentucky for a visit.

We spent the week with family and friends eating and swimming and
playing cards and just visiting. Oh, and there were quite a few hugs and kisses thrown in there too!

It felt like old times again. Having my siblings and my parents all in
the same room together, laughing and telling stories and just being near each other.

Of coarse the week went way too fast and though I promised myself I wouldn’t, I cried all evening after they left.

There is nothing quite like a hug from your mom or a smile from your dad.. I don’t think I’ll ever grow out of needing or wanting love and affection from my parents. They have always been the kind of parents you could have fun with, or tell anything to.

I can't tell you how many times I've wanted to reach through the phone for a hug. Just a hug, simple as that. Just to be near them for a second.
So you can imagine how wonderful it was to have had them here for a whole week.
*Big Smiles*
Now that they have a steady income they hope to have more frequent visits. It will be nice to see each other outside of pictures for a change!
Mostly, it will be nice to get those hugs!
I love you Mom & Dad. I can't wait to see you again!
Love, Rey

It bears repeating - your parents have not changed! They look great and I am so happy you enjoyed a nice visit.
