Birthday Chef

There's a six year old in the house!
(She is still my baby though!)

Deni chose a cooking theme for her party. It was by far the easiest birthday party I've done in years!

We kept the decorations pretty simple.

I found her her very own chef's jacket and had her name embroidered on it!

I also found chef grade aprons and chef's hats in children's' sizes for the guests.
They were a little plain so I added some color by making quilting yoyos and sewing them onto the hats.

The kids made pizzas for lunch first. The night before, ZombieDad and I made up a bunch of personal sized crusts to make the process go more smoothly!

Yeah, he didn't want his picture taken!

I also made up some homemade pizza sauce because my kids hate the bottled stuff!
When everyone arrived they put on their aprons and hats and went to work on their pizzas.
We put the sauce and cheese into cups and served up toppings (pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms & olives) for everyone to choose from.

Then we popped them under the broiler for a few minutes and voila!

(Everyone eating their personal pizza's!)

After the pizzas they each got to decorate some cupcakes!
We had lots of sprinkles and toppings and some icing bags to choose from!

Boy did they have fun decorating their cupcakes!

Check out these master-pieces!

A Hello Kitty cupcake!

We even had take home boxes for a half dozen mini cupcakes!

Then everyone chose their favorite cupcake and we sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday girl!

And boy did we enjoy our cupcakes!

Everyone brought wonderful gifts! (Thank you everyone!)

After it was all over she said "Mom, I wish I had a remote control that would let me rewind this whole day and do it all over again!"
I think she was one happy six year old!

LOVE IT! That's all I can say, you have done an amazing job once again. I love it all even down to the little take home boxes.

WOW! You are amazing. That party looked so amazing and fun! I wish I could have been there. If you invent the rewind, I'd like to replay it and be apart of it! She will definitely always remember that day.

Thanks you guys! I have a lot of fun putting on the parties! (An excuse to do something on a bigger crafty scale!)

I appreciate your kind comments! Love you both!
